WSIB Workwell Audit Deferral

A decision has been made to cancel the policy of allowing a 12 month deferral of a WorkWell audit to a firm that joins Safety Groups and SCIP effective July 31, 2009.
Until the effective date of the policy change, July 31, 2009, firms that receive a letter advising they have been selected for a Workwell audit, may complete a Safety Group Program Application form for January 1, 2010, and should receive a deferral as soon as they advise WorkWell that they have applied to join the program until December 2010. The firm should submit their signed application form to the WorkWell Evaluator. The firm may be deferred if they:
- have not received a deferral in a prior year,
- have not been selected based on a third party referral,
- has not started the WorkWell process,
- and does not withdraw / be removed from the Safety Group Program in 2010.
